Campground Rules

Speed Limit: The speed limit throughout the campground is 5 MPH for all vehicles, including cars, trucks, and golf carts. Please remember that you are sharing road space with children, pets, golf carts, and bicycles. As you enter the grounds, slow down to a creep. We realize that the hill makes this difficult, but we all have brakes.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours begin at 11:00PM and end at 8:00AM. Be considerate of your neighbors, and remember that sound carries easily. Loud parties are not welcome. Please report any disturbances to security or the store.

Pets: Pets are allowed but must be quiet and on a leash. Please clean up after your pets.

Prohibited Items: No firearms, BB guns, paintball guns, or fireworks of any kind are permitted on the campground. No ATVs are allowed to be ridden on campground roads or property.

Swimming: The swimming facilities at Whip-O-Will are NOT supervised by a lifeguard or other responsible person. In place of on-site supervision, this facility has established a series of safeguards to be followed by ALL persons using the pool area. These safeguards include, but are not limited to, the following basic rules: Never swim alone. There is no substitute for adequate supervision. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by at least one adult in order to enter the swimming pool area, and that adult must remain on the deck. There is no food or drink allowed in the pool enclosure. Do not drink alcohol and swim. The swimming facility may not be used outside of posted operating hours. You will be required to acknowledge and sign a copy of our Swimming Facility Rules Acknowledgement Form prior to using our swimming facilities. You may click here to download a copy of this form in advance of your arrival.

Alcohol: No person under the legal age of 21 shall possess or consume alcoholic beverages on campground property.

Golf Carts: All golf carts are to be identified with their site numbers. The letters and numbers must be 4" tall and must appear on both the front and the rear of the cart. The store has ID stickers, or you may provide your own. Golf carts driven by underage or unlicensed drivers will be removed from the campground. Golf carts may not be driven in the tenting areas (Brown and Orange) after dark.

Bicycles: No bike riding after 8:00PM. All bicyclists under 15 MUST wear helmets. We recommend that all bikers wear helmets.

Fishing: No license is required to fish in our catch and release lake. When fishing from a boat, a PFD is required for each occupant. The lake is stocked with bass, bluegills, and sunfish. There are frogs, turtles, and other animals living there naturally.

Boating: All persons boating on the lake are required to wear life preservers. We provide boat renters with approved PFDs.

Firewood: New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has issued new alerts regarding firewood and open burning. Untreated firewood may not be transported further than 50 miles from its source. No untreated firewood may come from out of state. Firewood brought into the campground should have a certificate of origin. Campfires are permitted but are limited to 3 ft. in height and a 4 ft. length, width or diameter. Small cooking fires such as barbecues are permitted. Only charcoal or clean, dry, untreated or unpainted wood may be burned. Fires cannot be left unattended or must be fully extinguished. Further information is available at www.dec.ny.gov or www.nysparks.state.ny.us.

Trees: Please respect nature. No cutting of trees or limbs, living or dead. We sell firewood.

Eviction: We reserve the right to terminate your stay for any malicious mischief, including carving tables, damaging trees, or defacing campground property.
